Island House Hotel has been recognized with a 2026 Tripadvisor Travelers’ Choice Award, placing the historic Mackinac Island hotel among the top 10% of listings worldwide on Tripadvisor.

The Travelers’ Choice Award is based on authentic reviews submitted by guests over a 12-month period. This makes the recognition especially meaningful because it reflects the experiences of travelers who have stayed at Island House Hotel and shared their feedback firsthand.

Rather than being selected by an editorial panel, the award is determined by the quality, quantity and recency of guest reviews and ratings collected over a 12-month period. It is designed to highlight the places travelers have visited, enjoyed and recommended to others.
